Countryside Entertaining
Contemporary Style
A spacious, airy home and kitchen designed with hosting in mind. The ample space in this country home between Arundel and Chichester gave us the freedom to achieve a pleasing symmetry whilst having functionality for the space in mind at all times. A large room with vaulted ceilings means that the room could accommodate a darker colour scheme and still feel light and airy.
The client wanted a space that could comfortably accommodate a large number of guests and functionally provide the appliances required to cater for them. We chose two tall banks of units to bookend the central statement induction hob and food preparation area. In these, two Miele ovens and warming drawers provide the space and ability to prepare food for a large number of guests. A quartz waterfall edge on the central food prep area creates an appealing contrast and a differentiation between the modules.
The central island is a perfect space for more intimate drinks, breakfast or dinners.
A separate kitchen
hidden from view
With a bank of ovens, hob and wine refrigeration, this separate kitchen enables caterers to come in and prepare out of sight of the guests, leaving the owners free to entertain and enjoy the space.
