South Downs
Industrial Influenced Country Retreat
Shaker styling with Industrial accents
This elegant country home nestled in the South Downs just outside of Chichester has undergone significant renovations under the current owner. As part of this work, an extension was planned that would allow for an extensive kitchen and living room. The homeowner wanted to make the space have an industrial feel and to retain the exposed brickwork to complement this. Working around significant structural beams and features, we created a design that incorporates thoughtful design features and materials and nods to the industrial aesthetic whilst retaining shaker elegance.
Antique mirrored glass was used underneath the breakfast bar and an impressive stainless steel Gaggenau french door fridge freezer was selected that complement the minimalist shaker cabinetry. A contrasting blue island seamlessly integrates with the structural brick supports and the extractor above the Neff induction hob is skillfully integrated into the home’s beams. Oak dovetail drawers and integrated trays provide a beautiful contrast to the deep blue of the fascias.
Steel, Oak, Bricks, Antique mirrored glass and white quartz combine elegantly in this industrial shaker kitchen
